Holy Cross To Honor 1952 National Champion Baseball Team

WORCESTER, Mass. - On Saturday, April 21, Holy Cross will honor the 55th anniversary of the 1952 baseball team winning the NCAA College World Series Championship as a part of a doubleheader with Bucknell at Fitton Field. On June 17, 1952, Holy Cross defeated Missouri, 8-4, in Omaha, Neb., to capture the title. The celebration will culminate in the introduction of players from the 1952 team and the raising of the championship banner between games of the doubleheader.

The following nine members of the team will be in attendance: Paul Brissette, John Concannon, Fran Dyson, John Hetherton, Jack Keenan, John Lonergan, Art Moossmann, Peter Naton and Ron Perry.
