Men's Basketball Signs Devin Brown To National Letter Of Intent

Nov. 21, 2007

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross head men's basketball coach Ralph Willard announced today that Devin Brown (Randallstown, Md.) has signed a national letter of intent to attend Holy Cross and play for the Crusaders. Brown will join the Holy Cross program in the fall of 2008.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Brown is a 2007 graduate of Baltimore City High School with a 3.4 grade point average. He was the only senior starter on City's 20-5 team last year, averaging 20.5 points, five rebounds and four assists per game. He was the first player from City to be named first team All-Metro in more than 30 years. Brown is currently attending Notre Dame Preparatory School in Fitchburg, Mass., as a post graduate.

"Devin is an athletic wing guard who plays the game with great tenacity and passion," said Holy Cross head coach Ralph Willard. "He is a young man with a real sense of purpose both on and off the floor, and is a great addition to our program. Devin is the type of person, student and athlete who will fit in great with the guys in our program, and the greater Holy Cross community. We are really excited to have Devin join us."

Holy Cross currently stands 4-0 on the season, following victories over Hofstra, Fairfield, Hampton and Harvard. The Crusaders finished the 2006-2007 season with an overall record of 25-9, won the Patriot League regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last seven years. Holy Cross returns to action on Monday, Nov. 26, when it plays host to Ohio University at 7:00 p.m.
