Matt Czarnecki Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 8-14. Czarnecki led the Holy Cross men's golf team to a 10th place finish at last weekend's Championship At the ECAC Championship, held on Saturday and Sunday in Charlestown, R.I., Czarnecki finished in third place overall, with a total of 146 strokes over two rounds. In the first round, he shot an even-par 71, the best round by any Holy Cross golfer over the weekend. In four tournaments so far this season, Czarnecki has averaged a team-best 75.1 strokes per 18 holes. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has averaged 77.4 strokes per round. The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, Oct. 21, when they face St. Anselm in a dual meet at the Marshfield Country Club. |
