         <description><![CDATA[Senior defenseman Matt Burke (Milton, Mass.), a member of the men's ice hockey team, has received the 2007-2008 John P. Cooney Memorial Award. The award was presented at the 53rd annual Holy Cross Varsity Club dinner, held at the Hogan Campus Center on Satruday, May 3.The Cooney Award is presented each year to a senior letterwinner who has performed beyond all expectations with courage, loyalty and dedication. A two-time winner of the Glenn "Spike" Crane Memorial Award as the hockey player who excels most in the little things and leads his teammates by example, Burke totaled 15 goals and 50 assists for 65 points in 138 games played during his Holy Cross career.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Holy Cross graduating senior Dale Reinhardt has signed a contract with the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors. Reinhardt finished his Holy Cross career with 46 goals and 72 assists for 118 points in 138 career games. He is ranked seventh on the all-time Holy Cross Division I assists list, while he is eighth in points and goals. His 138 games are tied for fourth on the all-time games played list at the school. This season he was second on the team in assists with 18 and points with 26.]]></description>

Burke is expected to be in the lineup tonight when Phoenix hosts the Victoria Salmon Kings. The RoadRunners are the affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks and the AHL's Worcester Sharks. Burke was just recently named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Conference Third Team. He was the team captain for the Crusaders as a senior.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Holy Cross freshman goalie Adam Roy (Feeding Hills, Mass.) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Month for his performance in February. Roy has already been named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week twice this season and Goalie of the Week once. In February, Roy had a 2.24 goals against average and a .930 save percentage in seven games. He was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week for his performance against Army on February 8-9. Roy stopped 63 of 66 shots in the two games. On Friday he made 40 saves on 42 shots, while on Saturday he stopped 23 of 24 shots in the 1-1 tie. This was the second time this season he has made 40 or more saves as he stopped 44 shots at Mercyhurst in the 4-1 win on October 26.]]></description>
