Men's Lacrosse Places 13 On Academic Honor Roll
The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team had 13 student-athletes on the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Rich Durand who was named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time. The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Brian Becker and Sean Daly; juniors Tim Barrar, Brendan Candon, Kenny Minor, Mike Nagle and Edison Parzanese; sophomores Conor McKenna, Matt Moran, Justin Rowley and Eamon Troy; and freshman Greg Peterson. Holy Cross Men's Lacrosse Concludes 2009 Season
The Crusaders concluded the season with a 13-3 loss at Bryant on April 22 and ended with a 3-12 overall record. Freshman Colin McGeehin led the team with 21 goals and 28 points. He was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice and the New England Co-Player of the Week once during the season. Sophomore Conor McKenna led the team with a career-best 11 assists. Junior Brendan Candon led the team with a career-best 43 ground balls. Senior goalie Jimmy Harrison finished his career with 561 saves which are the third most on the program's career saves list. Holy Cross Falls At Bryant, 13-3
The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Bryant, 13-3, on Wednesday evening to conclude the season. With the loss, the Crusaders end the season with a 3-12 overall record, while Bryant finishes with a 10-5 record. Sophomore Colin Flood scored all three Holy Cross goals. Bryant was led by Kevin Hoagland who scored four goals and had one assist for five points. At just 10 seconds after the contest started, Flood scored a goal to give the Crusaders a 1-0 lead.
