2004: Started in all 14 games as a junior...posted one goal, the game-winner against Providence...picked up 28 groundballs...named 2004 Defensive Player of the Year. 2003: Played in 12 games, notching 24 groundballs...recorded just three penalties for three minutes...named 2003 Defensive Player of the Year. 2002: Collected 52 groundballs, second on the squad... named 2002 Defensive Player of the Year. Before Holy Cross: Played one season at Choate Rosemary Hall...named to the All-Founders League second-team... also a member of the football team...played four seasons of lacrosse at Moses Brown...three-time All-State and All-League selection...in 2000 was named team captain, team MVP, All-American and Athlete of the Year...helped Moses Brown to four Southeastern New England Lacrosse Championships...also played football...was named Defensive Player of the Year and team captain for the 1999 season...two-time All-League selection (1998 and 1999). Personal: Edmond Lingchun Yip was born on August 20, 1982 to Louis and Florence Yip...has two brothers...a double major in Chinese Language and civilization. |
