Men's Rowing Competes Against Host No. 14 Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team visited No. 14 Georgetown for its third road trip of the season. The Crusaders' varsity eight, second varsity eight, and freshman/novice eight all carried strong performances in this morning's events.

The men's varsity eight, made up of Chris Hayden, Adam Furlong, Mike Cutting, Erik Winstead, Wade Lucas, Kevin Cummings, Matt Grace, Christ Lynett, and Christian Bratton, finishing with a time of 5:57.2 in their respected race as Georgetown recorded a time of 5:51.2. The men's second varsity eight team made up of Scott Dube, Gaven Ehrlich, D.J. Estes, Jim Eagen, Garrett Pearce, Will Bogdanowicz, Terry Therrien, Colum Weiden, and Chris Sieck placed second with a time of 6:02.5, ahead of the Georgetown third varsity eight who posted a time of 6:05.9.

The Georgetown second varsity eight placed first with a time of 6:00.5. The freshman/novice squad of Mary Carol Madigan, Grant O'Connell, Peter Haney, Peter Sandrib, Justin Howlett, Nik Savage, Ryan Cordes, Tucker Wade, and Robert Valenti finished with a time of 6:26.6, behind Georgetown who finished at 6:00.0.

The Crusaders will return to action on Sunday, April 27 when they travel to Camden, N.J. for the Patriot Challenge at 8:00 a.m.
