Men's Rowing Races On The Charles River

BOSTON, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed against Boston University, Rutgers, and Dartmouth on Saturday, April 21 on the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. This was their last away event of the regular season. The rowers faced a light crosswind and warm temperatures for the day.

The varsity eight finished in third place with a time of 6:14.7. In front of them, BU led the way at 6:09.1, followed by Rutgers at 6:11.0, while Dartmouth was fourth in 6:18.8. The second varsity eight boat came in second place, finishing at 6:18.0. BU completed the race two seconds before them at 6:16.0 and Dartmouth closed out the race at 6:39.5. BU also took a first place finish in the novice eight boat at 6:15.5. Holy Cross came in second with a time of 6:27.6, followed by Rutgers and Dartmouth. The second novice eight finished at 7:12.4 in second place behind BU.

The third varsity eight boat competed on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts. They raced against the second varsity eight teams of Ithaca and Tufts and still finished in first place with a time of 6:31.9. Ithaca came in second at 6:36.1 and Tufts was third at 7:01.2.

The Holy Cross men's rowing team is hosting Northeastern and Rutgers in Worcester, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 28 for their final race of the regular season.
