BROOKLINE, Mass. - Alex Schweitzer (Queens, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for Holy Cross, lifting the Crusaders to a 1-0 victory over Northeastern during a non-conference match-up Tuesday afternoon.

With 3:44 left in the first half, junior Alejandro Melean (Miami, Fla.) chipped the ball from 40 yards up, setting up Schweitzer to score the Crusader goal.

Sophomore David LeBar (Winter Springs, Fla.) made three stops against the Huskies. Starting his first game of the season, LeBar, now 1-0, recorded his first career shutout. Goalie Mahmoud Talaat (0-3) had two saves for Northeastern.

The Crusaders improve to 3-2 while Northeastern is now 3-3 on the season.

The men's soccer team will travel to Siena for their next game on Saturday, September 22 at 1 p.m.
