Box Score

LOUNDENVILLE, N.Y. - Freshman Jon Werth (University Park, Md.) started the Holy Cross second half scoring with 31:39 left in the game as the men's soccer team blanked Siena, 3-0, this afternoon in a non-conference contest.

A scoreless first half was erased six minutes into the second half of the game as a direct shot to the top left corner by Werth turned into an unassisted goal for the freshman, marking his first of the season.

Kyle Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) gave the Crusaders' a 2-0 cushion with 23:44 left in the game, heading the ball into the right side of the goal, assisted by Werth.

With 2:54 left to play, Sefton Kincaid's (Orlando, Fla.) pass to Andreas Andrews (Los Angeles, Calif.) resulted in a breakaway goal, lifting the Crusaders' to a 3-0 victory.

Holy Cross goalie Thomas Booth (Patchogue, N.Y.) had one save and recorded his third shutout of the season. The Saints' Steve Skonieczny made three stops in goal.

Siena out shot the Crusaders 14-10 including one shot on goal while Holy Cross recorded six. The Saints recorded six corner kicks while Holy Cross had one.

Holy Cross improves to 4-2 while the Saints drop to 3-3-1.

The men's soccer team travel to New Hampshire on Tuesday September, 25 with a game scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
