Quinnipiac Edges Men's Soccer, 1-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - With 2:58 left in the game, Danilo Schiavon netted an unassisted goal to lift Quinnipiac over Holy Cross, 1-0. Quinnipiac improves to 8-0-1 while the Crusaders fall to 4-4-2. Holy Cross came out aggressive in the first half, tallying eight shots while the Bobcats were held to two in the first half. After being locked at a 0-0 score going into the 87th minute, a scramble in front of the net allowed Schiavon to net his 3rd goal of the season in the low left hand corner, notching the Bobcats eight victory on the season. Holy Cross led shooting opportunities again in the second half, 9-1. The Bobcats' Fredrick Hall had eight saves and recorded his third shutout of the season. Holy Cross hosts Lehigh on Saturday, October 13 in Patriot League action scheduled at 7:00 p.m. |
