WORCESTER, Mass. - Alejandro Melean recorded his second goal of the season with 3:41 left in the first half, resulting in a 1-1 double overtime tie against 11th-ranked Harvard. The tie against the Crimson gives the Crusaders its third tie of the season.

Harvard took the upper hand in the game as Michael Giammanco served the ball to Andre Akpan near the left corner, allowing Akpan to beat Crusader goalkeeper Thomas Booth in front of the net, making the score 1-0 with 24:13 left in the first half.

Holy Cross put the pressure on the Crimson, allowing Melean to take advantage of a penalty kick to tie the game, leading to the double overtime decision.

Booth made three saves for Holy Cross while Harvard's Adam Hahn had four stops.

The Crusaders are now 5-4-4, 1-0-2 in the Patriot League, while Harvard is 8-2-2, 1-1 in the Ivy League.

Holy Cross travels to Navy on Saturday, October 20 for a game scheduled 7:00 p.m.
