Freshman Jon Werth has two goals and two assists for six points so far this season
 
 
Jon Werth Named Rookie Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman forward Jon Werth (University Park, Md.), a member of the Holy Cross men's soccer team, has been named the BRINE Patriot League Rookie of the Week, for competition from October 1-7. Werth netted the tying goal against Bucknell in the 62nd minute, pushing the Patriot League contest into extra sessions. With the 1-1 tie against the Bison, Holy Cross earned a point in the league standings.

Starting in all nine games so far this season, Werth has recorded two goals and two assists for six points, ranking him second on the team in points.

Werth is the second member of the men's soccer team to receive the rookie honors in three weeks.

The men's soccer team hosts Quinnipiac today for a game scheduled at 4:00 p.m.
