Andrews And Castrillon Named To COSIDA Academic All-District Team

Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross junior men's soccer players Andreas Andrews (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Felipe Castrillon (Weston, Fla.) have been selected to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine All-District I second team, announced on November 1 by the College of Sports Information Directors of America.

The team is comprised of players of Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

On the field, Andrews currently is ranked second on the team in goals (five) and total points (11). Andrews also notched his first career game-winning goal, lifting Holy Cross to a 2-1 Patriot League victory against Lehigh on Saturday, October 13. Academically, Andrews has a 3.24 grade point average with a major in Economics.

Recording his second season in a row playing forward, Castrillon has appeared in 15 games, making seven starts. Currently, Castrillon has two assists on the season for two points. His most recent success on the field set up the first goal scored against Army on Saturday, November 3. In the classroom, Castrillon is maintaining a 3.70 GPA and is also majoring in Economics.

The Crusaders (8-5-3), 4-0-2 Patriot League) will host their final game of the regular season with a Patriot League contest against Lafayette on Saturday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m.
