Crusaders Place Second In Worcester City Championship

Worcester, Mass. - Sophomore Brian Jackson (Phoenixville, Pa.) won the 400 IM and 200 Fly and finished second in the 100 Fly to lead the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team to a second place finish in the Worcester City Championships.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute won the overall team competition with 393 total points. Holy Cross finished with 370 points followed by Clark University with 121 points.

Sophomore Matt Frigault (East Freetown, Mass.) placed first in the 100 Breast, while senior Chris Kurek (Medford, N.J.) finished second in both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving competitions. Senior Ryan Keating (Winter Park, Fla.) had two second place finishes (200 Fly, 500 Free) and a third place finish (200 IM), and junior Brian Laws placed second in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast and fourth in the 200 Free.

HC next competes at Connecticut on Tuesday, February 1.
