Middlebury, Conn. - The Holy Cross men's and women's tennis team traveled to take on Sacred Heart head to head. The Crusaders fell to Sacred Heart 7-0 on both teams. The men's team fell to 1-1 while the women fell to 2-2.

For the women sophomore Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) played strong but was defeated by Jessica Schnell in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 7-5. For the men freshman Matt Wierzel (Garden City, N.Y.) had a tough match in No. 1 singles falling 6-3, 6-0 to Kirill Kasyanov of Sacred Heart.

The women open up at home March 14 against LeMoyne. Start time is set for 3:30 pm. The men open up at home on March 29 against Hartford. Start time is set for 10:00 am.
