Women's Basketball Names Mike Roux Assistant Coach
Holy Cross head women's basketball coach Bill Gibbons and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. announced today the hiring of Mike Roux as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program. "We are thrilled to have Mike on board," said Gibbons. "I have known him since he coached at my camps as a young coach; he has an excellent reputation as a recruiter and as an excellent coach. We feel Mike will be a tremendous asset to our basketball program." Roux joins the Crusaders after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Southern New Hampshire University (more)

Holy Cross Women's Basketball Promotes Ann McInerney
Holy Cross head women's basketball coach Bill Gibbons and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. announced today that Ann McInerney has been promoted to associate head coach for the women's basketball team. "I am pleased to announce the promotion of Ann to associate head coach," said Gibbons. "After one year here, she has shown extreme passion, dedication, commitment and pride in our Holy Cross women's basketball tradition." McInerney joined the Crusaders in 2008 after spending the previous season as an assistant coach at Harvard where the Crimson captured their 11th Ivy League title after posting an 11-3 league record. Women's Basketball Places Seven On Academic Honor Roll
Seven members of the Holy Cross women's basketball team have been selected to the 2008-2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Leading the Crusaders was junior forward Tayana Carper, who was named to the team for the third straight season. Senior forward Jessica Merrihue made her second career appearance on the honor roll, while sophomore guard Whitney Fremeau, freshman center Marygrace Jay, sophomore guard Alyssa May, junior guard Bethany O'Dell and junior guard Jessica Pearson were all honored for the first time.
