2004 Holy Cross Field Hockey Community Service

At the College of the Holy Cross, the field hockey team prides itself on giving back to the local community. Student-athletes, coaches and other members of the athletic staff participate in a variety of activities throughout the year.

Below is a listing of activities where the Holy Cross field hockey team was involved in community service projects during the 2004-2005 school year.

April 2, 2005 - The team took part in the Annual Holy Cross' Cares Day. This is a day where many HC students show their appreciation for the Worcester community by performing service-oriented activities, such as painting at several Worcester community centers, raking vacant lots and putting up fences. This team visited and cleaned up at Girls Inc. in Worcester.

Members of the team volunteer with Student Programs for Urban Development (SPUD). This is a community service organization sponsored by the Chaplains' Office consisting of over 25 different outreach programs.
