         <description><![CDATA[The Holy Cross field hockey team has announced seniors Carolyn Connelly (Greenland, N.H.), Jessie Cullen (Norwich, Vt.), Kristin Schulz (Fairfield, Conn.) and Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) as the 2008 team co-captains. A forward and midfielder, Connelly has appeared in 31 games, making five starts in two seasons with the Crusaders. She has two goals and one assist for five points as well as tallied 44 interceptions and 37 tackles throughout her career.]]></description>

Former head coach Meg Galligan will be in attendance and all field hockey alumni are encouraged to attend even if they do not plan on playing in the game. Other competitions will take place and prizes and shirts will be given away at the game. Any questions can be directed to head coach Ali Hawk.]]></description>

Holy Cross was also one of the 43 national teams to be recognized for having a 3.0 GPA or higher.Coletta started in all 19 games during the 2007 season and finished ranked second on the team in assists with five. Powell played in every game this season, ranked second in interceptions (60) and tackles (55) tackles on the team.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. has announced that head field hockey coach Meg Galligan has retired after 23 years with the program. Galligan, who came to Holy Cross in 1985, served as the head coach of the field hockey team for 23 seasons and women's lacrosse team for 10 seasons. Galligan, the winningest coach in the history of Holy Cross field hockey, posted an overall career record of 206-223-10 and a 58-35 mark in the Patriot League.]]></description>

Coletta led the Holy Cross field hockey team to a 3-2 victory at Bucknell in its only contest last week.In the Bucknell game, Coletta knocked home a pass from senior forward Sara O'Coin (Worcester, Mass.) after a scramble in front of the goal, to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead at the 26:10-mark. Coletta then picked up an assist just over a minute later, when she took a hard shot from the top of the circle, which was tipped into the cage by sophomore midfielder Courtney Callahan (Acton, Mass.).]]></description>
