Holy Cross Falls to #10 Ohio, 2-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - Rachelle and Estienne Coetzee two goals led Ohio over Holy Cross, 2-0, in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon at the Hart Turf Field.

The Crusaders started hot, holding good possession in Ohio's territory. Rachelle helped Ohio take control back in the game, scoring her second goal of the season 10:16 into the first half. Estienne recorded her fourth season goal 18 minutes later, to put the Bobcats on top, 2-0.

The Crusaders totaled ten shots, but were unable to put one away while the Bobcats had eleven shots on goal. Holy Cross goalkeeper Erin Singleton made two stops and Ohio's Jessie Martin made seven saves and earned her second season shutout.

The Bobcats improved their record to 4-1 while Holy Cross now stands at 1-3.

The field hockey team hosts St. Francis (Pa.) on Sunday at the Hart Turf Field at 12:00 p.m.
