Box Score

WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior Brenna Gulotta lifted Cornell to its second victory in a row, scoring the lone goal for the Big Red, defeating Holy Cross, 1-0.

Recording her second goal on the season and game-winner for Cornell, Gulotta turned Katlyn Donoghue's pass in front of the Crusaders' net into the team's fourth win of the season.

Cornell slighted Holy Cross with shots on goal, 6-5, while the Crusaders had a 4-1 advantage in penalty corners.

Holy Cross goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) had three saves while the Big Red's Lizzie Goldblatt had four stops and Belen Martinez made one save.

Unyielding performances for both teams served up several close scoring chances, however both starting goalkeepers, Singleton and Goldblatt, kept scoring on both ends to the one goal against Holy Cross.

Holy Cross now stands at 2-7 while the Big Red improved to 4-2 on the season, including a 2-1 record in the Ivy League.

The Crusaders' will be traveling to Lafayette on Saturday, September, 29 to a non-conference contest at 12:00 p.m.
