Box Score

WORCESTER, Mass. - Julia Weiser's unassisted game-winning goal extended Yale's winning streak to five games, defeating the Holy Cross field hockey team, 2-1. The Bulldogs improved to 5-6 overall while the Crusaders fall to 3-10.

Holy Cross opened the scoring just 7:26 into the first, grabbing an early lead as Alanna Sikorski (Glen Gardner, N.J.) scored on a unassisted goal, recording her third goal of the season.

The Bulldogs barely wasted any time to tie the game, scoring on a penalty corner 1:05 after the Holy Cross goal. Beth Raveche finished the play, assisted by Ashley McCauley and Harriet Thayer.

With 8:32 left in the first half, Weiser tipped a shot past Crusader goalkeeper Erin Singleton (Amesbury, Mass.) to give the Bulldogs the lead for the remainder of the game.

Singleton and Yale's Charlotte Goins each recorded nine saves.
