NINETY SIX, S.C. - The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in seventh place after day one of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the day with a total score of 358. Charleston Southern currently leads the event with a score of 305 through the first day.

Senior Amy Lussier (Milton, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a round of 85, and is currently tied for 21st place. Freshman Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) had the second best round for the Crusaders with a 86 and is tied for 23rd place. Olivia Higgins of Charleston Southern had the top individual score of the day with a 73.

The competition continues on Tuesday morning, and will conclude on Wednesday.
