Holy Cross Places Fifth At Jack Leaman Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team tied for fifth place out of 10 teams at the Jack Leaman Invitational at the Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst, Mass. and at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. Senior Amy Lussier (Milton, Mass.) finished in 10th place with a two-round score of 170 to lead the Crusaders. Holy Cross had a total score of 703, while Boston University won the event with a score of 690.

Senior Ellen Lamson (South Royalton, Vt.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 173 which was good enough for a tie for 12th, while freshman Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) had a score of 174 as she tied for 14th.

The Crusaders conclude the season on April 26-27, when they compete at the Williams Spring Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass.
