HC Places Eighth At Jack Leaman Invite

AMHERST, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in eighth place out of 12 teams at the Jack Leaman Invitational held at Hickory Ridge Country Club. Sophomore Amy Lussier (Milton, Mass.) led the Crusaders as she earned a second place overall finish with a round of 81 just one shot behind the winner. The Crusaders finished the day with a total of 375. Middlebury College won the event with a 338.

Sophomore Ellen Lamson (South Royalton, Vt.) shot the second best round for the Crusaders with a 95 which was good for a tie for 42nd. Sophomore Chelsea DuHaime (Concord, N.H.) had a 98 (T-46th), while junior Cynthia Sanossian (Scarsdale, N.Y.) shot a 101 (T-52nd) and senior Jessica Martin (Denver, Colo.) had a score of 104 (T-57th).

The Crusaders will conclude the 2006 season on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, when they will compete at the Williams Spring Shootout in Williamstown, Mass.
