Crusaders Place 14th At Rutgers Invitational

Piscataway , N.J. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished 14th at the Rutgers Invitational, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16, with final score of 726 after two rounds of action.

Leading the Crusaders was freshman Amy Lussier ( Milton , Mass. ) , who tied for 37 th place with a final score of 170. Lussier shot an 88 in the first-round and dropped six strokes for a score of 10-over par 82 in the second.

After the first-round Holy Cross was in a three-way tie for 14 th place with Hampton University and Mount St. Mary's with a score of 361. The Crusaders remained in 14 th place after the final round when they shot a second-round score of 365, Mount St. Mary's finished 15 th after shooting 366 in the second-round for a total score of 727 and Hampton University shot 374 in the second to total 735 for a final score.

Freshman Chelsea DuHaime (Concord, N.H.) tied for 57th place with a final score of 178, while sophomore Cynthia Sanossian (Scaresdale, N.Y.) finished 70th with a two-round tally of 178.

Senior captain Claudia Rothschild (Garden City, N.Y.) tied for 72nd place with a final score of 190, while sophomore Alexa Goldman (Dunwoody, Ga.) posted a final score of 230 for 83rd.

The Rutgers Invitational concludes the Crusaders fall competition.
