McCALLA, Ala. - Holy Cross senior captain Meghan Costello (Copley, Ohio) has been named to the Big South Conference Women's Golf All-Academic Team as announced at the league's annual banquet held at the Pearson Hall of Fame on the campus of Birmingham Southern College. An Economics major, Costello was one of eight student-athletes to be named to the team. She is currently competing at the Big South Championship in McCalla, Ala.

Costello missed the 2004-05 season while she was studying abroad, while in the 2003-04 season, Costello averaged an 82.4. She placed 30th at the Big South Championship with a three-round score of 257. Costello earned a second place finish in the Bryant Invitational with a two day score of 154 and finished second in the Mount Holyoke Invitational with a round of 78.

Day two of the Big South Championship is today at the Brent Brook Golf Course in McCalla, Ala., while the competition will conclude on Wednesday.
