WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Meghan Costello (Copley, Ohio) has been named the captain of the Holy Cross women's golf team for the 2005-2006 season. Costello will return to the Crusaders this fall, after missing the 2004-2005 campaign while studying abroad. She replaces departing captain Claudia Rothschild, who will be lost due to graduation.

During her sophomore year in 2003-2004, Costello led Holy Cross with an average of 82.4 strokes per round. She earned second place finishes at the Bryant Invitational and the Mount Holyoke Invitational, while placing sixth at the Lady Eagle Invitational and the Massachusetts State Invitational.
