Holy Cross dropped game to Trinity
 
 
Women's Ice Hockey Drops Game To Trinity, 1-0

Hartford, Conn. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team fell to No. 8 Trinity College, 1-0, tonight in non-conference action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 9-5-1 overall (7-2-0 ECAC), while Trinity improves to 10-2-2 overall (NESCAC 4-2-2).

The only goal of the game was scored 18:11 into the first period by Trinity player Sarah Kohn while on the power play. In the first period Holy Cross had eight shots on goal while Trinity had 10.

The second and third period was played hard by both teams with Holy Cross taking 12 shots on net in the second period while Trinity had five. In the third period Holy Cross took 10 shots and Trinity had four.

Freshman Monique Gallant (Antigonish, Nova Scotia) had 18 saves in the loss with her record dropping to 6-4-1. With 1:10 left in the game Holy Cross pulled Gallant to try for a last attempt at goal only to come up short.

The Crusaders play again on Friday, January 25 at Manhattanville. Start time is set for 7:30.
