Women's Lacrosse Earns A League-Best 16 On Honor Roll
Sixteen members of the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including freshman Cami Thompson who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester. She was just one of only four student-athletes on the women's lacrosse Academic Honor Roll to have a 4.0 average. Holy Cross' 16 selections were the most in the league. A total of 78 student-athletes from women's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. (more)

Holy Cross Receives NCAA Public Recognition Awards
Fourteen Holy Cross varsity athletic teams have received Division I Academic Progress Rate public recognition awards from the NCAA. These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort. Holy Cross' 14 total teams to be honored tied for the eighth most in the nation. Other schools with at least 14 teams receiving public recognition awards were Yale (28), Brown (21), Dartmouth (21), Penn (19), Harvard (18), Princeton (18), Bucknell (17) and Notre Dame (14). Gagne & O'Leary Named All-League
Lisa Gagne and Meg O'Leary have earned second team women's lacrosse All-Patriot League honors. This is the first year that they have earned All-League accolades. Gagne led the team this season with a career-best 37 ground balls and was tied for the lead with a career-best 17 caused turnovers. During her career, she started 51 straight contests and played 57 total games. She was a major contributor to Holy Cross' 2007 Patriot League championship, starting all 19 contests. (more)
