IWLCA Announces Division I All-Regional Teams

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association honored 128 student-athletes for their performances in the 2007 season. Holy Cross seniors Megan Orr (Wilton, Conn.) and Patricia Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) were named to the Northeast Region Second Team. This is Orr's third consecutive year being recognized by the region while Sutton receives her second regional accolade of her career.

Orr ended the 2007 season with 222 saves and is ranked third nationally in save percentage (0.564). She broke the school and league all-time career saves record this season (859). Orr was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the year as well as being named to the First Team All-League.

Sutton finished her senior season with 57 goals and 18 assists for 75 points. She broke the all-time career goals and points record at Holy Cross and ranks second in the Patriot League in all-time career points and goals. Sutton was also selected to the First Team All-League this season.

Holy Cross ended its season 13-6 overall after winning the Patriot League Title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year and second time in school history.
