Deb Flaherty is in her fifth season as the head coach of the Crusader women's soccer program.

Flaherty came to Holy Cross after spending three years as the head women's soccer coach at West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. She led West Chester to a record of 31-20-7 from 2001-2003 and a sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Prior to West Chester, Flaherty spent two years as an assistant coach with the University of Dayton. While at Dayton, Flaherty helped her team win the Atlantic-10 regular season and tournament championships as well as advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

A three year captain at the University of Michigan, Flaherty's experience extends beyond coaching. She was a first team All-Big Ten selection in 1995 and a second team All-Big Ten pick in both 1994 and 1996. Flaherty was an Academic All-Big Ten all-star in 1996 and 1997. She currently ranks fifth all-time at Michigan in games started (82), fifth in assists (19) and sixth in points (61 - 21 goals, 19 assists).

Flaherty was a high school star at nearby Sutton High School before heading to Ann Arbor. While at Sutton, Flaherty was on three straight state championship teams.
