Holy Cross Women's Soccer Falls To Quinnipiac, 2-0

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Holy Cross women's soccer team fell to Quinnipiac, 2-0, in non-conference action this afternoon. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 2-8 overall, while the Bobcats improve to 7-1 overall. Quinnipiac made it a 1-0 game at 6:26 into the contest when Justine Lombardi put the ball into the lower left side of the net off a crossing pass. Lauren Peacock added a goal at the 65:30 mark for the 2-0 final score. Holy Cross freshman goalie Mary Ferketic (West Hartford, Conn.) made seven saves, while Chloe Beizer stopped one shot to earn the win. The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, October 7, when they host Lehigh in the Patriot League season-opener at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at noon. |
