Holy Cross Women's Soccer Defeated By American, 3-0

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Holy Cross women's soccer team fell to American, 3-0, in Patriot League action on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-13 overall (1-4 Patriot League), while the Eagles improve to 10-5-1 overall (4-0-1 Patriot League).

American moved out to a 1-0 lead at 2:57 into the game when Krystn Hodge scored her first goal of the contest off a crossing pass by Kelsey Brasher. In the second half, Brasher netted her 12th goal of the season when she scored on a corner kick at the 64:58 mark. At 68:42 Hodge scored her second goal of the game and ninth of the season for the 3-0 final score.

Holy Cross senior goalie Jessica Pietrowicz (Worcester, Mass.) made six saves.

The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, October 28, when they travel to Annapolis, Md. to take on Patriot League opponent Navy at 1:00 p.m.
