Holy Cross Women's Soccer Names 2008 Team Captains

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's soccer program has named senior Casey Boland (Langhorne, Pa.) and junior Kendra Demakis (Hanover, Mass.) as 2008 team co-captains. A midfielder, Boland has played in all of Holy Cross' 56 games over the last three years with 54 starts. She has 10 goals and five assists for 25 career points. Boland is coming off a season in which she ranked third on the team in goals (two) and points (five). As a sophomore she led the team in goals (seven) and points (16). Boland is also a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
A defender, Demakis has played in 30 career games with 23 starts over the last two years. She has been a major contributor on defense right from the start of her career as she played in 17 games with 10 starts as a freshman, while she started in all 13 games that she played in last year. The 2008 Crusaders will return seven starters from last year's team. |
