Two Crusaders Named To 2008 All-Patriot League Teams
The 2008 All-Patriot League softball teams were announced on Tuesday afternoon, with Holy Cross placing both senior first baseman Kelly O'Neil (White Plains, N.Y.) and freshman second baseman Erin Fleming (Townsend, Mass.) on the teams. The All-Patriot League teams were voted on by the head coaches of the league's six softball teams. O'Neil was named to the first team All-Patriot league list, after she hit .276 this year with a team-best 25 runs batted in and a school single season record tying five home runs. (more)

Cruz Named Crusader Of The Week
Junior Natalie Cruz (Manalapan, N.J.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 28-May 4. Last week, Cruz hit .333 with two home runs and posted a 2-1 record in the circle, as the Holy Cross softball team split a four-game series at Colgate. In the series finale against the Raiders, Cruz drove in three runs, including a game-winning two-run homer in the ninth inning for the 12-10 victory. (more)

HC Sweeps Colgate In Season Finale
The Holy Cross softball team concluded its season on Thursday with a pair of wins over Colgate. The Crusaders took game one 5-1, while in game two they defeated the Raiders, 12-10, in nine innings. Holy Cross finishes the season with a 10-31 overall record (5-15 PL), while Colgate falls to 10-23 (7-13 PL). The Crusaders came out with five runs scored in the first inning of game one. Kelly O'Neil led the way with a three-run homer, her fifth on the season. (more)
