Holy Cross Softball Is 1-5 After Day Three At Rebel Games

Kissimmee, Fla. - The Crusaders split 1-1 on the second day of the Rebel spring games dropping their first game in a 6-3 decision to Western Carolina and winning their second game 4-3 over Fairfield finishing the day with a 1-3 record. Day three of the Rebel games the Crusaders lost both games. In a 13-5 decision Fairfield defeated Holy Cross in the first game of the day. In game two the Crusaders faced off against Valparaiso for a 7-0 loss dropping to a 1-5 overall record.

Pitching for the Crusaders was junior Natalie Cruz (Manalapan, N.J.) giving up eight hits and seven runs. Pitching the last three innings was freshman Caitlin Belanger (Fall River, Mass.) giving up three hits and making four strikeouts.

The Crusaders take on Detroit and Sacred Heart on March 6. Start times are set for 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
