Holy Cross Softball Defeated By Georgetown, 3-0
March 16, 2008
Washington, D.C. - The Crusaders traveled to Washington, D.C. to compete against Georgetown University in a non-conference game. The Crusaders were defeated 3-0 dropping to 2-11 while Georgetown improves to 9-21. Georgetown scored one run in the first, second and third innings to take the game 3-0. Senior Jayme Elliot (Gardena, Calif.), junior Natalie Cruz (Manalapan, N.J.) and sophomore Amanda Audette (New Bedford, Mass.) each had a hit each but it was not enough to get across home plate. Pitching the entire game for the Crusaders was Audette with one strikeout, three walks and three allowed runs. The Crusaders play again March 26 when they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to take on Boston College. Start time is set for 3:00 pm. |
