These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort. The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete.]]></description>

The United States Naval academy won the men's title while Colgate won the women's title. The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team earned a total of 124 points over the three day event as the women's team earned 150 points in the Championship.]]></description>

The Crusaders men's and women's teams took a combined 15 events, women taking eight, men taking seven. Senior Chris Smith (West Haven, Conn.) had two individual wins as well as a relay win to lead the Crusaders men. For the women, senior Andrea Doherty (Needham, Mass.) had an individual win to go along with her relay win to lead the Crusaders.]]></description>

Gousman won three individual events and was a part of three winning relay teams last weekend, while winning Swimmer of the Meet honors as the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team finished in first place at the Worcester City Championship.On Friday, Gousman won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:17.40.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team claimed their seventh straight Worcester City Championship Saturday afternoon at the Hart Center Pool. The Crusader women led the annual Worcester City Championships from start to finish, winning 14 of the 37 events in the meet. Holy Cross would prevail over cross-town competitors Clark, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Assumption earning 633 points over the two-day event. The Crusaders set five new meet records on their way to the victory. Sophomores Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) and Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) each set three new meet records, two relay and one individual.]]></description>

The Crusaders fared well taking three first place finishes and 16 top five finishes.Taking firsts included freshman Molly O'Brien (Bedford, N.Y.) in the 1000 yard freestyle with a finishing time of 11:55.39. Sophomore Lauren Tatro (Charlotte, N.C.) scored a first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.94. The final first place for the Crusaders would go to sophomore Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) in the100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.27.]]></description>

Holy Cross had a tough start when Siena took the first four events of the meet, but the Crusaders would fight to try and regain their position. Winning six of the 16 events would not be enough though, and the Crusaders would lose the meet 161-138.In event five Maggie Gousman would take first in the 100yd breaststroke with a time of 1:09.71. She would also take first in the 200yd breaststroke and in the 200yd IM.]]></description>

After all coaches and all sports information directors have voted for this season, Navy has placed first for both the men and women.On the women's side Navy would earn first place with 96 points followed by Colgate in second with 85 points and Bucknell in third (77 points). Army, Lafayette, Lehigh, American and Holy Cross completed the women's poll.]]></description>
