WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 27-December 3. Last weekend, Gousman swam in six different events, while leading the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team to a fifth place finish at the Harold Anderson Invitational in Kingston, R.I.

At the Anderson Invitational, Gousman won the title in the 100-yard breastsroke, finishing with a time of 1:08.48. She also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.68, and came in fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:16.40.

In addition, Gousman swam a leg on the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:41.24) and the 200-yard medley relay team (1:54.24), which both placed second, and the 400-yard medley relay team which finished in third place (4:08.30).

The Crusaders return to action on Jan. 14, when they play host to Central Connecticut State and Vermont in a meet at the Hart Center.
