Women's Tennis Earns A League-Best 8 On Honor Roll
Eight members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Melanie Bunke, junior Ivette Konopka and junior Kristen Meahl who each made the Academic Honor Roll for the third straight time. Holy Cross' eight selections were the most in the league. The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were senior Paige Brown, junior Kathryn Wilkie, freshman Carolyn Chandley, freshman Emily Marr and freshman Emma Rudnik. (more)

Kristen Meahl Earns Second Team All-League Honors
Holy Cross junior captain women's tennis player Kristen Meahl has earned second team All-Patriot League honors. She is only the second ever Holy Cross women's tennis player to earn All-Patriot League accolades as Stefanie Raymond earned 1995 first team honors and 1993 second team accolades. Meahl, who played all of her matches at No. 1 singles, had a 14-12 overall record and a 9-9 dual-match record. Her 14 wins tied for the team-lead. She also had a 10-14 overall record at doubles and an 8-10 dual-match record at No. 1 doubles. (more)

Holy Cross Concludes 2008-09 Season
The Crusaders concluded the season when they fell to Colgate, 4-0, at the Patriot League Tournament on April 24. Holy Cross finished the season with a winning record of 10-8. Holy Cross had five players with at least a .500 record at singles competition as junior Kristen Meahl went 14-12, freshman Emily Marr went 14-8, freshman Carolyn Chandley went 14-10, junior Ivette Konopka went 12-7 and junior Kathryn Wilkie went 9-2. The doubles team of Marr and Chandley went 7-4. The Crusaders went an impressive 8-2 at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. (more)
