Women's Tennis Defeats Smith College, 6-3

Northampton, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's tennis team traveled to Northampton to take on Smith College in a non-conference match up. The Crusaders defeated Smith 6-3, improving to 4-5 overall (1-3 Patriot League).

Kathryn Wilkie (Oak Brook, Ill.) went undefeated for the day winning 9-8 (7-5) at No. 3 doubles along side Paige Brown (Hunting, N.Y.), and winning in at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-4. Also going undefeated for the day was Chase Fitzsimmons (Brielle, N.J.), winning 8-3 at No. 2 doubles along side Hallie Lange (Miami, Fla.), and at No. 5 singles 0-6, 7-6, 6-1.

The Crusaders will compete again on April 13 against Salve Regina. Start time is set for 12:00 p.m.
