Women's Tennis Has Seven Selections To Academic All-League Team

July 10, 2007

WORCESTER, Mass. - Seven members of the Holy Cross women's tennis team have been selected to the 2007 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Leading the Crusaders was sophomore Natalie Lin (Winchester, Mass.), who was one of just three female tennis student-athletes to earn 4.00 grade point averages during the spring semester. Holy Cross' seven total selections to the Academic Honor Roll were the second most in the conference.

Joining Lin on the Academic Honor Roll were senior Meredith Bacon (Hanover, N.H.), junior Amy Garrity (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), junior Meg Moran (Concord, N.H.), sophomore Melanie Bunke (Glastonbury, Conn.), freshman Ivette Konopka (Shelton, Conn.) and freshman Kristen Meahl (Falmouth, Maine).

A total of 30 student-athletes from women's tennis teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
