Women's Track & Field Earns 45 On Academic Honor Roll
The Holy Cross women's track and field team had 45 student-athletes named to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Kelly Shaw and Margaret Molloy who each earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester. They were two of 10 student-athletes on the women's track and field Academic Honor Roll to have a 4.0 average. Holy Cross' 45 selections were the second most in the league. (more)

Tiffany Reid Finishes In 24th Place At NCAA East Regional
Junior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) placed 24th in the 200-meter dash at the 2009 NCAA East Regional, held at the Irwin Belk Track. Reid ran a time of 24.60 seconds in the event, which consisted of five preliminary heats. Murielle Ahoure of Miami (Fla.) had the fastest time in any of the heats, finishing in 22.92 seconds. The top eight individuals in the preliminaries advanced to Saturday night's final, where Ahoure again placed first with a time of 23.09 seconds. (more)

Shaw & Spilka Receive Academic Awards
Seven Crusader athletes are among a group of graduating Holy Cross seniors who have been selected as winners of Academic Awards for the 2008-2009 school year. Seniors Daryl Brown, Jerry Dickinson, Sebastian Fidelus, Wade Lucas, Stephen Schoenberger, Kelly Shaw and Colleen Spilka are the athletes who have been honored. These individuals received their awards in a special presentation held in the Dinand Library on Thursday, May 21. (more)
