Results

Durham, N.H. - The men's and women's track and field team traveled to New Hampshire this weekend to compete against Unh and Quinnipiac. The Crusaders finished with a second scoring 119 points. UNH won the meet with 165 points and Quinnipiac scored 47 points for third. The Crusaders would have 33 top three finishes with seven first place finishes.

In middle distance sophomore Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) took first in the 500m with a time of 1:17.33. Another women's first place finish was by sophomore Maureen Meagher (Allentown, Pa.) in the 800m with a time of 2:23.53. For the men senior Michael Ricotta (Cross River, N.Y.) finished the 400 with a time of 52.12 for his first place finish. The men's 800 race junior Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.) finished first with a time of 1:56.57.

The long distance events held one first place finish by junior Caitlin Paluilis (Pittsfield, Mass.) in the 3000m with a time of 10:25.43. In the men's 3000 race sophomore Kyle Rougeot (Torrington, Conn.) finished second with a time of 8:45.73.

Field events added another three first place finishes. In pole vault junior Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) cleared a height of 11.05.75 feet. For the men senior Thomas Harrison (Wilmington, N.C.) took a first in the triple jump with a distance of 45-07.00 feet. He took another first in the long jump with a distance of 22-06.25 feet.

The Crusaders compete again January 25th, at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games held in Boston, Mass. Start time is set for 4:00 pm.
