WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior outside hitter Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Army, 3-0, by scores of 30-24, 30-13 and 30-22 in Patriot League action on Saturday afternoon at the Holy Cross Field House. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-14 overall (0-3 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 14-3 overall (2-1 Patriot League).

Freshman setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 30 assists, while sophomore Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) had nine kills and sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) had eight kills.

The Black Knights were led by Jamie Clark's eight kills and Maureen Bannon's 20 assists.

The Crusaders will begin a seven-game road trip on Friday, October 5 when they face Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. and then they will play at Lafayette on Saturday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m.
