Holy Cross Volleyball Falls To Colgate, 3-0

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Colgate, 3-0, by scores of 30-15, 30-19 and 30-20 in Patriot League action on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-18 overall (0-7 Patriot League), while the Raiders improve to 11-9 overall (6-1 Patriot League). Senior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) led the Holy Cross offense with nine kills, while sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) had seven kills. Junior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the Crusaders defensively with 14 digs, while freshman Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 25 assists. The Raiders were led by Casey Ritt's 14 kills and Meghan Fanta's 43 assists. The Crusaders return to action on Friday, October 19 when they travel to Annapolis, Md., to take on Patriot League opponent Navy at 7:00 p.m. |
