Volleyball Defeated By Bucknell, 3-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, by scores of 30-19, 30-20, 26-30, 24-30 and 15-9, Saturday night in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-17 overall (1-8 Patriot League), while the Bison improve to 15-10 overall (6-3 Patriot League). Sophomore Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) was extremely impressive for the Crusaders on defense as she registered a career-high 33 digs, while junior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) and freshman Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) each had 13 kills.

Strawson posted her eighth double-double of the season as she also had 11 digs, while senior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) recorded her sixth double-double with 42 assists and a season-high 16 digs. Senior Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) also had an impressive match as she tallied her first double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs.

Bucknell was led by Jenna Henderson's 23 kills and Shannon Pitsch's 55 assists.

The Crusaders return to the court on Friday, October 27, when they host Navy at the Holy Cross Field House at 7:00 p.m.
