Volleyball Defeated By Army, 3-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Senior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) and sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) each recorded 11 kills, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Army, 3-0, by scores of 30-18, 30-23 and 30-12 in Patriot League action on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-21 overall (0-10 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 20-4 overall (8-2 Patriot League). Senior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the Crusader defense with 11 digs, while freshman setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 29 assists. The Black Knights were led by Briana Stremick's 17 kills, while Malissa Gallini had 18 assists and Maureen Bannon had 16 assists. The Crusaders return to action on Friday, November 2 when they host Patriot League opponent Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. |
