Crusader Volleyball Falls To Bucknell, 3-0

Worcester, Mass.- Sophomore Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) had 18 kills, but it was not enough at the Holy Cross Volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-0, by scores of 30-27, 30-28 and 30-21, in Patriot League action, on Friday evening at the Hart Center. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 6-16 overall (2-8 PL), while the Bison improve to 14-11 overall (6-4 PL). Strawson's 18 kills gives her 314 on the season, which is good for third on the Holy Cross single-season kills chart. Freshman Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the team in digs with 11 and junior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) dished out 33 assists. Bucknell was led by Jenna Henderson's 14 kills and Jessica Le's 24 assists. The Crusaders return to action when they host Patriot League foe Colgate at the Hart Center on Saturday, October 29, at 4:00 p.m. |
